English: Akali Tapa Singh Shaheed was Saint soldier of Khalsa Panth during the times of the early Sikh Misls. As per: [1], Tapa Singh got his name due to name-earning and the nature of Tapa-Japa. In the days of peace when there were no wars, he used to sit in samadhi (meditation) for many days. After spending his childhood under the blessed care of Baba Deep Singh, he emerged as a successful soldier of the Khalsa Panth, who was always ready to sacrifice himself for the cause.
