பிப்ரவரி 2019 இல், குறளரசனின் கலிமா (நம்பிக்கைப் பிரகடனம்) சென்னை அண்ணாசாலையில் உள்ள ஒரு பள்ளிவாசலில் தனது பெற்றோருடன் இசுலாத்தைத் தழுவிய காணொளி ஒன்று வெளியானது.^[1]^[2] சிறு வயது முதலே குறளரசன் இசுலாத்தின் மீது பற்று கொண்டிருந்ததாகவும், அந்த பிரகடன நிகழ்வின் மூலம் இசுலாத்தை முழுமையாக தழுவியதாகவும் இவரது தந்தை டி. ராஜேந்தர் செய்தியாளர்களிடம் தெரிவித்தார்.^[3] குறளரசன் தனது சொந்த விருப்பத்தால் இசுலாத்தின் கொள்கைகளில் ஈர்க்கப்பட்டு அதை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டதாகக் கூறினார்.^[4]

இவர் குழந்தைக் கலைஞராக தனது வாழ்க்கையைப் பெற்றெடுத்த பிள்ளை (1993) என்ற திரைப்படத்தின் மூலம் தொடங்கினார். பின்னர் சொன்னால் தான் காதலா (2001) படத்தில் இவரது பாத்திரத்திற்காக பாராட்டுகளைப் பெற்றார்.^[5] இவர் தனது தந்தையின் தயாரிப்பான இது நம்ம ஆளு (2016) திரைப்படத்தின் மூலம் தனது சகோதரர் சிலம்பரசன் நடித்ததன் மூலம் இசையமைப்பாளராக அறிமுகமானார். “கிங் காங்” என்ற பாடலை பாடியதோடு அல்லாமல், படத்தின் அனைத்து பாடல்களுக்கும் இவர் பாடல் வரிகளை எழுதினார்.^[6]^[7]^[8]^[9]^[10]^[11] இவர் அமெரிக்காவை தளமாகக் கொண்ட கலைஞர்களுடன் ஒரு சுயாதீன இசைத் தொகுப்பிற்கு இசையமைத்தார். மேலும் பல இந்தித் திரைப்படங்களிலும் பணிபுரிகிறார்.^[12]^[13]
